This is the first general strike in over 50 years! If you are able, DO IT!

I don’t know about you but I’m walking out. Time to spread the word around school

Inb4 “gonna go see if I can get a job that day”.
I hate to be that guy. I’ll say it right now: I support this General Strike. I support #OWS. I support all of it.
But here’s the thing. Look at Greece right now. Greece is TINY compared to the United States. We have it JUST AS BAD as Greece, but we’re so large, and so diverse, that we don’t even realize it. A lot of people are going to see this and not do it. Because who would give up a day of work, or a day of class, to protest absolutely nothing/everything?
Think about it. Bank of America just dumped $75 Trillion In Derivatives On U.S. Taxpayers With Federal Approval. Take this day to EDUCATE YOURSELF AND EVERYONE AROUND YOU. If you don’t walk out, take the hours before/after school and work, to go tell your friends and family about the problems in our country. This isn’t a Left or Right issue anymore. The banks are covering their asses so they can sail out in a golden parachute.
However, the potential for this is enormous. If Scott Olson dies, and/or this general strike is successful in Oakland and other cities, we’ll see big things start moving here. The more angry we get, but at the same time the more educated our population is, the BETTER THIS WILL GO.
In fact, don’t even wait until the 2nd to start educating people. If your family and friends don’t understand what’s going on in the economy and what’s going to happen in the end game it’s time to start talking.

I’m going to be honest here. I neither have work nor school on the 2nd. Nor does anybody notice when I slip in and out of class at odd times. Or they don’t care, it’s friggin community college man. But I’d like to see a shitload of middle schoolers and high schoolers straight up walk out of their schools. My school had a sit-in once (I can’t even remember what for) but I think everyone leaving would be better. Impossible to organize, but it would be something to see…

I wish I could take part in this, and I really agree with Clifford but the reality of the situation is I depend on working to pay my bills and I just can’t walk out on my job like that. :C
I encourage somebody who is able to take part in this to do it!
